X-ray diffraction (XRD)

XRD is a suited method to analyse the structure of solid materials and measure material characteristics like internal resistance. Innogrind uses this method to measure residual stresses. A good example is measuring and quantifying compressive and tensile stress.

In addition XRD is used with heat treatments like quality control and Determination of Retained Austenite.
